Day 3 – The whale shark is technically a shark and the world’s largest fish. Today we will get up close to these gentle giants and, with a little luck, swim along side them. The afternoon is free to stroll the Malecon, rent a bike or relax at one of the local coffee shops. We will meet for dinner as a group in the early evening.
Day 4 – Day trip to the Espiritu Santo and Balandra beach, said to be one of the most beautiful beaches in the world.
Day 5 – Travel to Todos Santos, direct to the Turtle Rescue Centre where we become Biologists for a Day and learn about the turtle hatchery release program
Day 6 – Today is a free day to do as much or as little as you please. Options include surf lessons, an art class or check out the local galleries. A cooking class is in included so we will be making our own dinner.
Day 7 – Travel by shuttle to Cabo, settle into our hotel and then join a walking tour of Cabo complete with tacos. Later option to visit the Cabo Humane Society to take one of their adoptable pooches for an afternoon walk.
Day 8 – Optional morning hike with groups of dogs. Afternoon humpback whale safari included.
Day 9 – Our early morning start begins with a transfer to Cabo airport to board our private charter plane to San Igancio Laguna. There will be a brief orientation of the camp on arrival followed by lunch and our first opportunity to see the grey whales.
Day 10 – After breakfast we are off to get an early start on the day’s whale watching. Lunch. Relax. One more afternoon whale watching encounter or perhaps a walk along a hiking path, an afternoon nap or a game of billiards in the desert! Cocktail hour around the fire pit watching the sunset. Fine dining and then relax with a drink and an evening presentation by one of the camp’s naturalists.
Day 11 – Another full day of whale watching (split into two excursions) or opt to relax by the beach and enjoy the scenery.
Day 12 – One more opportunity to see our whale friends before we board our private charter plane back to Cabo San Lucas where we will say “adios”. We are scheduled to arrive in Cabo around 1pm. Any international flights departing the same day should be scheduled for later than 4pm.
