Skate California - 8 days

Calling all rollerskaters!

This itinerary marks the beginning of, what I hope will be, just the start of taking your wheels on the road. And what a better place to start than sunny California. Read through the itinerary, and click on the link below to let me know what you think. It will be quick, I promise!

You have skated outside, skated inside, skated in small spaces and almost perfected the Downtown. Now it’s time to take those wheels on the road! This small group trip to Southern California explores popular rollerskating spots with a few lessons thrown in while allowing free time to explore and skate on your own.

8 days – Los Angeles to San Diego

$2500 CAD per person based on double occupancy

Itinerary

Day 1 (Saturday) – Welcome to La La Land! Arrive Los Angeles anytime. Make your way to the hotel in Santa Monica. There is a welcome meeting at 6pm then we head out dinner as a group.

Day 2 (Sunday) – Breakfast is included but save some room for the Venice Beach food tour (also included). Then we head to Skate Dance Plaza for a skate class and some great people watching. Skate the day away and get to know the locals.

Day 3 (Monday) – After breakfast we travel by private bus to the Griffith Observatory (think La La Land or Rebel Without a Cause) before we head to Moonlight Rollerway to skate away the afternoon. We stop at the LA Farmers market on the way back to Santa Monica. Free time in the evening.

Day 4 (Tuesday) – It’s going to be a busy day but so worth it. We get an early start and head to Fountain Valley Skating Center in Orange County for a class with a local instructor followed by some free time to practice your new skills. Next we are off to Junipero Hill.

Day 5 (Wednesday) – Free day. Start your day with an optional group skate along the boardwalk from Santa Monica to Venice Beach and back (or hang out and explore Venice). Other options include a visit to LA and Hollywood.

Day 6 (Thursday) – Pack your bags. Our first stop includes a 1.5 hour tour of Catalina Island followed by free time to explore and grab some lunch before we transfer to San Diego for the night.

Day 7 (Friday) – Grab your (included) ticket for the hop on, hop off trolley car to explore San Diego followed by a group scavenger hunt to have some fun and learn more about the city. Tonight we will lace up our skates head to Skateworld for a public open skate.

Day 8 (Saturday) – Later skaters! Today is departure day. After breakfast, transfer to the San Diego airport for your flight home.
