RUN ATHENS
November 11-20, 2022

The modern marathon was inspired by the legend of Pheidippides, a Greek messenger who raced from the site of Marathon to Athens, a distance of about 40 kilometres, or nearly 25 miles, with the news of the Greek victory over the invading army of Persians in 490 B.C. After delivering the good news he collapsed and died. To commemorate his dramatic run, the distance of the 1896 Olympic marathon was set at 40 kilometers.

The last couple of years have been somewhat of a gruelling run but the good news is upon us and the world is opening up and travel is back. We can think of no better way to celebrate than by bringing two lover together: travel and running. Lace up your shoes and join us on this 10 day itinerary to Athens and beyond. Not a runner?
